Ocean City, Maryland offers distinct dining vibes across its neighborhoods:
Downtown (around the boardwalk’s south end and inlet) is packed with casual-to-upscale spots right off the beach. Think seafood and waterfront views at Harrison’s Harbor Watch, classic Italian at Captain’s Table, and inventive taco bars like the Tipsy Taco
Midtown spans roughly 28th to the Route 90 Bridge on Coastal Highway. Here you'll find a lively mix of bay-facing restaurants, brewpubs, and bars. Notable highlights include Seacrets—an entertainment complex with tropical flair—plus the Dough Roller, pint pubs like 28th Street Pit & Pub, Finnigan’s Irish Pub, and waterfront dining at the Residence Inn’s Bayview Bar & Grill
North Ocean City (roughly 61st Street to the Delaware border) is a more laid-back stretch filled with condos, malls, and casual bayside family eateries like the many restaurants inside the Carousel, which offer many options from tiki bar, to ice cream shop, to Reef 118 with seafood options - including raw oysters!
West Ocean City (across the bay) is more residential and suburban, home to communities such as Ocean Pines, Berlin, and Ocean City’s western shoreline. It features cozy takeout spots and local diners geared toward SC-famous bay access and a quieter setting focused on families and locals.
Finally, the Boardwalk itself is a feast-for-your-eyes strip of oceanfront dining. Stretching about 2¼ miles from the Inlet to 27th Street, this iconic thoroughfare, while incorporated in "Downtown" is unique and is where you’ll find lively pubs (Shenanigans, Purple Moose), American classics (Grotto Pizza, Bull on the Beach), snack stands, fudge shops, and more—all with sweeping ocean vistas and carnival energy. Guido's Burritos offers cold margaritas and Mexican food with a boardwalk/ocean view.
Each area offers its own character—whether you're after a romantic oceanside meal, a buzzing nightlife scene, family-friendly bayside fun, or nostalgic boardwalk eats.
Grab a quick snack or casual lunch on the boardwalk. Find your favorites here. If you’re looking for great food with iconic views of the boardwalk and inlet, try the Wedge or Harrison's Harborwatch overlooking the inlet, for a great bar experience - and a great breakfast, try the Crawl Street Tavern.

Downtown Ocean City Restaurants
If you've spent the morning on the beach or walking the boards, you may want to grab a quick snack at a local place without having to run back home and dress. Conversely, if you're looking for great food with iconic views of the boardwalk and inlet, there really is no limit to downtown dining opportunities.Midtown Ocean City Restaurants
While Downtown has the boards, midtown has the bay and some of the legendary Ocean City eateries. Setting aside the spectacular ocean and bay views, the great atmosphere and the diversity of food choices, it also is a little less congested in midtown Ocean City. That said, there still is great beach access and parking is also a tad easier.North Ocean City Restaurants
There are lots of good restaurants above the Route 90 bridge, so you do have some good options. Many of the restaurants are actually inside the larger hotels, but they are definitely worth trying whether you are staying there or not. The Fenwick Inn on 139th Street has the amazing Vista Rooftop with incredible views of Ocean City. The Princess Royale has recently renovated and added an outside bar, better outdoor dining options, and a great craft beer selection. The Carousel Hotel has four different restaurants includng Reef 118 Oceanfront Restaurant and the Tsunami Patio Bar & Grill. Longboard Cafe is a casual surf-themed bistro located in the Town Center shopping plaza at 67th St and offers a full bar, and Beach Barrels is the place to go for take out beer and wine, and their famous Primo Hoagies is right next door. Grab a beer, watch sports or listen to a live band.

West-O as it's often called, is more a region than a city, sprawling around Route 50 Bridge and up toward Assateague, it has plenty of fine destination restaurants and enough fast food to keep the kids from chattering for too long.Selbyville Restaurants, Fenwick Island Restaurants and Bethany Beach Restaurants
Drive up through North Ocean City into Fenwick and you're in Delaware. The Delaware beaches are fast becoming known for their boutique restaurants and fashion-forward approach to the culinary arts. It isn't as if the area lacks burger joints, but people looking for a great meal at a reasonable price are a lot less likely to be disappointed in any of the Southern Delaware towns than they were at, say, the turn of the century.Get Ocean City in your inbox
