We were in town for the Oceans Calling Festival and came here specifically to watch the Chiefs game. We ordered food and drinks, enjoyed ourselves, and even shared our booth with other Chiefs fans we didn’t know because the place was so crowded.
During the 4th quarter, the smaller bouncer wearing a Vikings hat came over and told us we needed to leave as soon as our game ended because he had Vikings fans who wanted our booth. The entire place was packed, so there were plenty of customers he could have approached. Why he singled us out, I have no idea.
We’re in our 50s, were paying customers, weren’t being loud or causing any problems, and had done absolutely nothing to warrant being asked to leave. I’ve honestly never experienced anything like it at a bar or restaurant, and it was incredibly rude.
To be clear, our waitress was great, and we did not hold his behavior against her. We tipped her generously, just as we had planned, she actually asked if we were serious and could she give some back.
Unfortunately, the bouncer completely changed our impression of the place. Hospitality is about making paying customers feel welcome—not pushing them out because you’ve decided someone else would be more worthy for their table.
